70-Year Old Arrested for Public Nudity

Police say the incident occurred Monday in the 800 block of W. Ash.
A Salina man is arrested for public nudity.
Police arrested 70-year-old Dennis Gress, after a neighbor saw him standing in their backyard in the 800 block of West Ash with his pants down around his knees.
Police say the incident occurred Monday morning around 9:15am.
Gress was arrested on charges of public nudity and trespassing.

Oh my gosh....not sure why this needs to be public knowledge. If this man is suffering from dementia or something, I feel bad for his family having this splashed on the news. I do not know the details and really don't want to. I do not blame the neighbor for calling it in, I would too, but just not sure it is "newsworthy" unless he was somehow threatening the neighbor.

My first thought was he may have Alzheimer disease or such, to have been outside like this. Hopefully he'll get tested and the help / treatment he needs, if this is the case. He didn't need to be arrested if he's ill.

The poor geezer did not deserve this. Sometimes both the journal and ksal that publishes journal stories should use a little discretion.

This is the same guy that was caught in his neighbor's backyard scr*wing the neighbor's dog. Please don't feel sorry for him!

It should be public information if he was in my yard and grandchildren were present. If he is suffering from dementia or alzhiemers he needs a guardian or conservator. Illness or not, this behavior is not acceptable or legal. And if he were caught with MY dog, the cops punishment would be minor compared to what I would do. Oh, I almost forgot- I am not a violent person.
