Police make an arrest in an arson investigation. Police arrested 32-year-old Charles Newman of Salina yesterday on a charge of aggravated arson.

Police allege the former resident at a Salina apartment complex located at 611 S. 2nd, caused minor damage in the hallway by lighting a fire inside the building on May 4th.

Investigators say he used an accelerant to start the blaze. No residents were injured in the incident.
