Police clear up seven burglary and theft cases with a couple of arrests.

According to Lt. Scott Siemsen, an investigation that dates back to May 6th led to the arrests of two Salina teens.

Seventeen-year-old Kody Quintana and 18-year-old Alejandro Hernandez-Zapata are accused of burglary and theft in seven cases where homes , some that were under construction, were broken into, damaged and in some instances tools taken.

Houses on Pinecrest, Briargate, Larkspur, Columbine, Melanie Lane, Taft and Overhill were all targeted between May 4th and May 21st.

Lt. Siemsen tells KSAL News that many of the tools and items that were stolen have been recovered.

WhoCares: Really!!! Who knows if it's gang related, I'm grateful the little punks got caught!! FINALLY!! I have been waiting to see some resolution to some of these burglary/theft cases!! Now, we can only hope the court system sends a message and throws the book at them, no slaps on the wrist, they need actual punishment for the crimes they committed!! These would be good ones to start making an example out of, the citizens are sick and tired of the crime in our community, let's show them by making sure they serve time in jail/prison!! No olly overs, no free rides, no probation!! Do not pass go, do not receive a get out of jail free card!!
