Candidates File For Salina Area Legislative Seats

Eleven candidates have filed to run for three Salina area seats in the Kansas House of Representatives up for election and one in the Kansas Senate.

Candidates had until noon Monday to file, less than four days after three federal judges redrew the state's political boundaries. Their paperwork had be received and reviewed by the secretary of state's office in Topeka.

The primary election in Kansas will be held on Tuesday, August 7th. The general election will be Tuesday, November 6th.

The list has an error on the SOS site. Clark Schultz is listed as running for both the 73rd and 108th District. That's not legal. I'd presume he is in fact running for the 73rd given the change of address and the likelihood he doesn't want to face a guy who has been representing 90% of the new district.

Well we even have the gay guy Gary S. running for the house. And that lawyer who caused the problem here in Salina Janice N. running for the Senate. How sad and they wonder why the state is in the condition it is.
