Officers responding Friday morning to a call to a child abuse hotline freed the girl
Kansas City police have arrested a woman after finding her 10-year-old daughter locked in a filthy closet.
The Kansas City Star reports officers freed the girl after responding Friday morning to a call to a child abuse hotline. The officers reported that the girl was alone in the apartment inside a closet reeking of human waste.
The girl was taken to a hospital to be checked out. Officers later found the girl's 29-year-old mother and jailed her on suspicion of child abuse. The mother's live-in boyfriend was also arrested.
Two other children have been placed in protective custody.

It sickens me that we have so many worthless parents in this world we live in today. No child should ever have to live in a abused life. I hope the government will soon tighten down rules in order for people to have children.. Licensed in parenting followed by a criminal background check..

What an awful excuse for a parent. As a father of 3, I am disgusted by this. Seems to me, mom and boyfriend should get some serious prison time. Unfortunately, the dialogue got a bit off target between boneman and t-bone. Not sure that is about but that isn't my business. I think we can all agree that this child was severely abused and the parent/parents need to pay for it. Hopefully this kid can get a decent life with family or foster parents.
