An Assaria man charged in his wife's stabbing death describes the couple's faltering relationship in hand-written notes.
The Salina Journal reported that those notes were admitted into evidence Friday as Michael Andrew Paulson's murder trail continued in Saline County District Court.
Paulson, who goes by his middle name, wrote that he can't talk to Valeria Paulson. He also wrote that it was a struggle to keep going in a relationship he didn't think would last, especially after their children grew up.
Valeria Paulson was killed in July 2010 at the couple's home in Assaria. Andy Paulson is charged in her death as well as with attempted first-degree murder in the stabbing of his sister-in-law, Jessie Putman.
The trial is expected to continue at 8:30 a.m. on Monday.
