Both men could face multiple charges

A couple of men are arrested in connection with a vehicle burglary, and stolen credit card case.

Police allege that earlier this week 45-year-old Robert McClanahan and 22-year-old Robert Bray broke into a car parked at 2140 Meadowlark Lane. The car was locked, but the windows were rolled down because of the heat.

Items taken include a bag and its contents including two college text books, a stethoscope, and a wallet.

A credit card from the wallet was used a short time later at four Salina businesses including a Kwik Shop convenience store, a Sonic restaurant, and two Red Box video rental locations.

A Sonic employee was able to provide a description to police that helped lead to the arrest.

Both McClanahan and Bray could face multiple charges that include burglary, theft, and criminal use of a financial card.

This is wonderful news!! Finally, a couple of the thieves are off the street, till they make bail!!! Good job to the Sonic employee for being able to help police get them caught. We can be pretty sure if not for the Sonic employee, these morons would most likely have not been caught!! We know this because there are still too many of the crooks walking amongst us laughing at our cops. For instance, the guy in the recent video, plain as can be picture, Jim's chicken can't help identify this guy?? How bout the woman at the Wilson auction?? And too many others to name!!

Obviously the local paper could do a better job of screening people hired as carriers. Maybe the job isn't quite as lucrative as advertised? "Be your own boss" ....yeah right.

I hope the Sonic Employee is not expecting any money from crimestoppers. Now all he/she has to wrry about is when these guys get back out on the street. Hope the cops are around to help him/her.
