Former Kansas Sheriff Pleads To Meth Charges
Associated Press - Fri 04:04 PM 07/27/2012
A former northwest Kansas sheriff has pleaded guilty to four felony counts of distributing methamphetamine.
Randy Axelson was the sheriff of Rooks County when he was arrested in December 2011 following an investigation by Kansas authorities. He was accused of distributing meth over a period of four months at the Rooks County Fairgrounds and within 1,000 feet of Stockton High School.
Prosecutors dropped five counts in exchange for Axelson's guilty pleas Friday to four counts in Rooks County District Court. The plea agreement includes a recommendation that Axelson serve five years and four months in prison.
Ellis County Attorney Tom Drees served as a special prosecutor in the case.
Axelson had been free on bond and resigned as sheriff in June.

iamgonnagetu..Wait until the news from Dickinson County is made public, that is going to be a slammer for law enforcement also. KWCH in Wichita made mention of it, for some reason however our local news media does not want to touch it.

Hey Iamgonnagetu. You calling me names really hurts my feelings. I cry everyday because of the names you call me. I sure am hurt let me tell ya. Coming from a middle aged man that wants to be Sheriff. It's okay, keep on posting your thoughts that make you feel better. They are being published for everyone to see. And you don't know crap about law enforcement. You are a civilian that is uneducated in law! You just think you do. So, keep up with the name calling. I like it and I want everyone to see your ignorance and childlike behavior. Have a good evening!

Oh yeah, I forgot. Just because you watch CSI TV shows doesn't make you a qualified candidate for Sheriff!
