Fatal Accident Occurs Early Monday Morning

Neither of the teens were wearing their seat belts
A Salina teen dies in a single car accident early Monday morning.
Two Salina teens were south on Magnolia Rd to Holmes Rd when the car they were in rolled. The Saline County Sheriff's Office says the driver lost control for an unknown reason, over corrected and rolled at least once.
John David Robb, 17 of 2301 Falconview, was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. 17 year old passenger, Mallory Brown of 638 Scott, was taken to Salina Regional Health Care to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
According to the Saline County Sheriff's Office, Brown got out of the car after the accident and knocked on doors in the area for help.
The two were in a 2000 Honda Civic. Neither of the teens were wearing their seat belt. The Sheriff's Department believes alcohol may have been involved.
The accident was reported at 3:14 a.m. and is believed to have occurred around 3 a.m. on Monday, July 30.

Let's say this again WHERE THE HELL WERE THE PARENTS. Letting young people to be out at this hour falls back to the parents. One set of parents dodged the bullet the other set unfortunately did not and have lost a son. Just a sad lost of a young person.

Heres an idea how about you quit going around and commenting on here because nobody cares what you have to say and they never will your most likely just doing this because you are bored. John happened to be one of my friends and i dont appretiate that you are on here accusing his mom and dad of being bad parents for letting him be out late we are teenagers and we rebel and we dont cope with authority figures. oh and gary forsberg wanted much more than to kill himself and i know that because i am friends with him his wife his son and his nephews so why dont you just quit making stupid comments on all these articles when you dont know them because beleive me when family members and friend of these people see your comments think of how your making them feel!!!!!!

Sorry about your friends... It's really sad when young people die. However, maybe this is YOUR wake up call to not rebel, as you say, and start "coping with authority figures." I'm sure John's parents told him that something bad would happen if he didn't stop going out late and if he would have listened.... Well, maybe this conversation would not be here. But it's too late for should have's, would have's, and could have's. Such a tragic loss. Thoughts and prayers to John's parents, friends, and his daughter.

Shutitb one point this is not the time or place to keep dragging this out. By your name alone I see you have no respect for anyone and your parents evidently did not raise you correctly. Seems you know everyone that died hopefully that will wake you up to the path you are taking. If not we one day will read about you here also.

I am John David's aunt. To the reader (Iamgonnagetu) who decided that today was his day to sit and judge parents I should like to ask you this: Do you not think that these parents are grieving? Do you not think that they did not love their son as every parent loves a child? You did not see John's mother and father at 5:00 a.m. this morning. You have no idea the horrific pain they are feeling. They LOVED their son; they did their best as parents for their son - and sometimes kids do stupid things without thinking of the consequences. Shame on you for your disgusting attitude!

I just e-mailed the Salina PD a couple weeks ago and told them that people in Salina cannot drive. The whole city needs to take a driver improvement course.

Netreader kids do stupid things but I am a parent and MT teenagers are not out driving around at 3 in the morning. There are a bunch of parents that have guidealines for their kids and make them follow them. That is our responsibility as parents.

To the friends and family sorry for your loss and what you have to put up with on here, putting your emotions out on here may not be the best thing to do it is only going to bring more pain from stupid know it all people. But I know what your wanting to do and applaud your efforts in defending them, Loss is never easy to deal with or learn from, but try at least you can give it some value. That being said if ""Iamgonnagetu" is running for Sheriff. His name is Bart" The Shrine will never Vote for him, he has opened his mouth one too many times, and made too many threats on here for anyone to take him seriously. Whats the saying about friends in low places, try brothers in all places.

Everyone is accountable for there own actions and deserve the consequences of the situations they put themselves in. Regardless of the parenting they are both almost adults and should know better.

I had a child of mine driving around that evening whom is a wonderful and responsible child. I am very grateful that him and his friend were out that night to come across this accident and to be able to get some help out there for Ms. Brown. How scared she must have been. My child is now dealing with seeing a loss of life. I am very blessed to have such a wonderful and careing son. Just because some children go out late, does not mean they are up to no good. I just want to thank my child and his friend for helping these other two children. I also pray for all the families involved in this tragic accident.

I think the these comments are outstanding. No matter what anyone likes to think there is no reason to put anyone down. Rude comments about teens being out, i think is rediculous because the family is able to read this and i think they are going through enough, and truth is no matter what you tell not only a teen they will do what they want to in there own authority, if its going out at 3am after drinking when they know there parents said not to, all be damned if its the parents, cause the kids will find a way to get out of the house and do what they want. And fighting back to the comments is just anger, hurt, and grieving from the pain the family and friends are going through. So take it easy, cause i know we all make mistakes... Some just happen to be fatal. Turn the tables, if it was you in this situation, those words would be different.
