Stolen Sculpture Found at Church

Police say the piece was not damaged.
A sculpture that was stolen from downtown over the weekend is found.
The sculpture titled "Time to Smell the Roses" was found just before 9am Tuesday morning at the First Covenant Church, 2625 E. Magnolia.
Police say church staff contacted them at about 8:50am when they found the piece in a flower bed. The statue is part of the 2012 Sculpture Tour Salina collection and is scheduled to be on display through next spring.
Police say the piece was not damaged and is valued at $6,000.
Authorities still want to interview the persons responsible for taking the 36-inch high statue from the pedestal in front of Big Nose Kate's Saloon, 121 N. Santa Fe.
Witnesses told police early Sunday morning outside of the bar that they saw three to seven, white males grab the statue and shove it into a black Honda mini-van before driving off.

Damn church cult... couldnt have a church yard sale or a bake sale to earn the money to get a statue, so the preacher talked the kids into stealing it for them...

Looks like a better setting for the artwork that where it was....maybe they should leave it there?! I'm surprised you rough & tough posters don't find a more suitable outlet for your testoserone display. Some of your comments make you sound like spoiled brats instead of grown men. (assuming you ARE grown men)
