Its always an on going investigation. Another agency finds the body where was our sheriff's department? It's going to be a long 4 years especially after the watch group gets formed.

kssimnut When you work a case you work it everywhere. The agency that found the body was not from Lincoln. What I love to hear from the sheriff is they are working or still investigating. Its been a few years since the murder over by Solomon that's a long time to working on isn't it. That Sheriff kept mum on that like he does everything but then wants the public's help after time passes. I want to know about the watch group someone let me know since we have to have these same people in office. I read over at salina.com someone said this sheriff is going to make a half a million in the next four years is that a rip off or what? How much does the average person in salina going to make in that same time period? No wonder he refuses to retire.

I'm grateful the guy was found for the family's sake!! Regardless of how we feel about our law enforcement people, it's wonderful they were able to work together to get this young man back to his family for a proper burial. I pray this will help the family to begin the healing process, closure is a long way off but at least this is a start. It would be nice if the law enforcement community would work together on other aspects of crime in our community. I realize something like this is priority over other crimes, perhaps this will be the shining moment that will wake up some of the law enforcement people to the fact, it is ok to actively work together for the greater good of our community!!! Good job to all involved.

equineman7 your post is partially true. You assist other agencies. By overstepping your legal boundaries and open up a whole can of worms. No need to let the person responsible walk away from such a hanieous crime because of one overstepping their boundaries.... far as the sheriff making so much maybe he can fund his own jail expansion.

What I find amazing is the Guy that ran against the sheriff did nothing. He should of pulled up all the records of the department on crimes which would show all the unsolved crimes. Plus he could of debated the sheriff in a public forum and shown the people why someone else needed to be elected. People who run for office half-a** will never unseat a sheriff like this and that is what the sheriff knew all along. Hell we do not need a million dollar sheriff in in office with the economy we currently have.

FOR THE RECORD: If you look at the comments on Aug 3rds report of this man missing I stated we should be looking in Lincoln County for this mans body, and it took them A WEEK to find him. Maybe I should run for sheriff.
