Indoor Pot Farm Busted

A Salina man is behind bars after a pot growing operation is discovered in his home. Salina Police were called to a residence at 824 Gypsum on Sunday morning around 8am to the report of three people arguing outside.
Police found a shattered window with blood on the glass - and a strong smell of raw marijuana emanating from the house. Lt. Jim Norton tells KSAL News that the Drug Task Force used warrants to search the home and found a pot growing operation with 66-plants inside.
Norton says the marijuana plants ranged in maturity, from 6-inchs to fully grown plants standing 5 feet tall.
Police arrested 27-year old Oneta Sai Dara on multiple charges that include cultivation, drug paraphernalia, production within a 1,000-feet of a school. Lt. Norton says the plants could have produced several thousand dollars in street value worth of marijuana.

LOL INDIAN NATIONAL?? Born and raised in KANSAS. Try Laotian..ignorance in the bible belt is rampant and this is coming from a God fearing tax paying family man. Get your facts straight before you start whizzing through nationalities, and when you start referring to someone who grows marijuana as a druggie or even referring to marijuana as a problem in the first place...how about those cigarettes and fast food "joints" that kill millions globally everyday?? Or are these places an economic fix for the sorry job situation we call Salina??

Thats some sad true and funny stuff rumblebee. Thanks for setting the record right and making my day. Not an advocate of cannabis, but its almost a breath of fresh air,(No pun intended), to see some one busted for growing real marijuana not manufacturing a chemical brain freeze for whoever uses it. Seems like you took a dim veiw of the term druggies but its a straight up Tommy Chong move to get into an argument in your front yard so the police are called when you are growing dope in the house. Instant classic :)

t-bone, that's a very valid point you are making. I would wonder if that's something they keep an eye on. If he didn't have a big garden outside and a nice green yard, did anyone ever wonder why his water bill would have been so high? If he didn't have a big water bill, where was he getting the water to support this grow operation. I think the strange part of this is, they stumbled on this because of an argument. Was he on the radar at all, did the neighbors not notice what I would imagine was some strange traffic around this house.

Rumblebee laotian really and you know he was born and raised here because? Evidently you did business with this Guy. Your examples used are all legal so your point is mute. While there is a long way to go into cleaning up the drug traffic here every little bit is a big help.
