Former Salina Man Ran Meth Ring
Jeff Garretson - Wed 11:28 AM 10/10/2012
The Drug Task Force teams up with Sedgwick County agents to make an arrest.
According to Task Force Commander, Lt. Jim Norton, 27-year-old Filiberto Nunez-Garcia was arrested on multiple drug charges in Wichita yesterday and booked into the Saline County Jail.
The search for Nunez-Garcia began shortly after a dog from a K-9 Unit hit on a vehicle he owned.
Lt. Norton tells KSAL News that back on September 26th, officers released him from the scene where they were making another arrest at 841 Hancock Ave.
A warrant was then used to search the 2005 GMC pickup truck he left behind - and police found 3.9 pounds of methamphetamine plus 6 pounds of marijuana inside the vehicle.
Lt. Norton tells KSAL News that the street value of that much meth is worth $177,000, while the pot would bring about $7,200 in drug deals.
Nunez-Garcia, who kept a Salina address at 912 Smith until September 26th, was found at a friends house in Wichita.
Police found him Tuesday in possession of a half pound of meth and with $30,000 cash in suspected drug proceeds.

Anotehr criminal bites the dust because of the fantastic law enforcement agencies and law enforcement leaders we have protecting us. That explains the fantastic stats. Crime is down by 37.5% over the past 9 years. That is a fantastic record that we must credit to our fantastic law enforcement agencies and their fantastic leadership. Fantastic VICTORY.

No way is crime down in the past nine years. You used to read about some crime taking place every once in a while but in the past 9 years that has escalated to what we have now which is several crimes being reported by the media every day. This does not include those crimes that are not being reported by the media. Salina has a crime wave occurring and neither law enforcement agency is capable under the leadership we presently have to do anything about it.

Wow, get your boots on boys cuz @iamequine674 has it pile up high today. Chief Hill is doing a great job and his job is secure. He won't be gone until he is ready to retire; that I guarantee. Sheriff K is not going anywhere either, unless, of course, he makes that election.
