RC Model Damaged in Theft
Jeff Garretson - Thu 11:23 AM 10/11/2012
A radio controlled plane is damaged and car stereo is stolen.
Salina Police are investigating a theft in the 700 block of Huehl, after a homeowner found his Pitts Python radio controlled biplane in pieces on the street.
Police say someone entered an enclosed, unlocked trailer that was parked on the driveway - and took the plane and radio controller unit.
Thieves also removed a car stereo from an unlocked vehicle at the residence.
The RC biplane was damaged and left behind while the controller and stereo were stolen.
Total loss and damage is listed at $2,600.

Yea, that sucks. Glad the Chief is doing such a great job that KSAL only has relatively minor property crimes to fill in the gap between major stories. Great job Chief Hill and Sheriff K. We support you 100% (minus 1).

Yea for every crime reported by the media there are a bunch that do not get reported. Just waiting for the day victory becomes a victim and loses something of importance to them and the police do little or nothing. Then we might see the true feelings of victory come out.

Almost everyone has been the victim of crime, especially theft, but are smart enough to know what police can and cannot do for them when that happens and smart enough to know the police are not at fault. But once in a great while some people loses their marbles and blame everything on the police, right Iam/Get/equine/. . .

I again apologize to Iam/Get/equine. This anger thing with me over takes me at times. I also apologize to the many people of our city who have crimes committed against them and the sheriff or chief has not be able to do anything about and the people stealing continue to do so.
