Police say someone pried open a padlock on a storage unit

Thieves empty a storage unit full of a sound equipment.

According to Lt. Scott Siemsen, sometime between October 28th and November 10th, someone pried open a padlock on a unit at City Wide Self Storage, 440 N. Ohio, and stole numerous items used by a mobile DJ business.

Police say speakers, an amp, mixer, cd player, electrical cords, wireless mic, lighting elements plus 300 CD's were taken.

Total loss is listed at $6,990.

They had their own storage war and got a good haul. That place on Ohio needs to fence in those units on the north side or put in some good camera's to protect those units. I am assuming it was one of those not protected.
