Hunting Rifles Stolen from Rural Home

Deputies say the loss is in excess of $1,200.
Two rifles, a shotgun and more are removed from a Saline County home.
The Saline County Sheriff's Office is investigating after someone stole numerous items from a residence in northwest Saline County.
Deputies say someone entered a home in the 3000 block of North House Road, sometime between November 3rd and November 14th and took a Remington 270 rifle with a Minolta scope, a Savage 270 rifle with scope, and a Remington 800 model shotgun.
The Sheriff's Office says five hunting knives were also taken as well as a camouflage backpack, hand warmer, batteries, 3 pair of binoculars and a digital camera.
Deputies say the loss is in excess of $1,200.

Don't people pay attention on what goes on in their homes? Not knowing something is stolen for ten days I question. But time an again you read this. The crooks sure love people like this.

Iamgonnagetyou raises a good point. When I go on vacation for that long I have someone checking on my house at least every 2 days. Have these people have no family or friends close by? Makes you wonder.

Rare but I agree when I am gone I have people looking after my home and things. Evidently those that made negative comments will be future victims of crime.
