The car first hit the left guardrail, then the right guardrail, before hitting the rail on a bridge over the Smoky Hill River.
A Texas man is hurt in a crash in Saline County early Sunday morning.
Saline County Sheriff Deputy Dave Hamilton tells KSAL News that 24-year-old Martin Guareiola from Garland, Texas, was driving a Nissan Altima south on Interstate 135.
Guareiola lost control of the car. He first hit the left guardrail, then the right guardrail, before hitting the rail on a bridge over the Smoky Hill River.
Hamilton says that the crash may have been caused by a blowout on a front tire.
Guareiola, who was buckled up, was hurt. He was transported by EMS to Salina Regional Health Center with non-life threatening injuries. Two passengers in the car were not hurt.
The crash happened at 5:25 Sunday morning, on Interstate 135 in Saline County just north of the McPherson County line.
