Thieves are again targeting Hutchinson churches.

Police say a break-in Wednesday night at the McGee Chapel, Church of God in Christ, was the third church break-in in less than a week. Some petty cash was stolen but no significant damage was reported.

That burglary came a day after a break-in at First Presbyterian Church, where a maintenance worker surprised a young male burglar and chased him out of the church. Nothing was stolen. And sometime during the weekend, the First Christian Church was vandalized and about $60 was stolen.

This summer, more than a dozen church break-ins were reported in Hutchinson. Four people were arrested in those crimes.

The Hutchinson News reports police have not found any evidence linking any of the previous suspects to the recent break-ins.

I am confused because, occording to some of the people that post on this website, Salina is the only place with a crime problem or poor law enforcement.

Yes I agree logical.... AND where is his comment on this one? I also think whoever did this better be watching his step because I have Faith that he will get what he deserves on this one...God doesnt tread lightly when a Church is involved.. It doesnt please HIM at alllllllllll.....No one else has to take action but it may be helpful...God takes care of things Man cant do!!!!

Just for your info----I lived in Hutchinson---it's police department is about the same as Salina's - so it doesn't matter. Look around Hutch-it also is going to pot----sad but true. There are good police officers and bad police officers and city officials---bottom line is - they need to quit worrying about lining the city funds with money from traffice violations and get to work on the theft-it is only getting worse with Christmas as there are so many unemployed. Go after the drunks, thieves etc-----
