Gee the cops are dusting off an old law. Giving her a citation? What about all those others in the past year who left keys in their cars and trucks? Never any reports of them being given citations. They stumbled onto the car but the thrive is still free.

I think i'll just start my car in the morning, install my anti-theft device (ie: 110 lb rottweiler) and go back inside til the car warms up. Peek out the window with a camera and watch to see who is stupid enough to try to take my car! Can't get a citation, the car is attended!

Maybe it was just bad reporting on the other instances. I know someone who got a ticket at Casey's for leaving their car running, the cop just sat outside and waited.

Sorry if they issue summons it gets reported just like seat belt use. Plus there have been to many cases of people leaving keys in cars an no citations being given.

Iamgonnagetyou, I was meaning KSAL doesn't always report EVERYTHING. Along with typos, and grammar errors they do make other mistakes or decide certain details aren't important.
