Liberal Police Officer Dismissed Over Warrant
Associated Press - Fri 08:41 AM 12/28/2012
A Liberal police officer has been dismissed after an outstanding warrant for him was discovered.
Robert A. Buchanan was accused in late 2009 of not returning a laptop computer to his employer, the western Oklahoma oil-services company Schlumberger. An arrest warrant was filed in January 2010 in Beckham County, Okla. It stated that there was an anticipated charge or charges of embezzlement.
The warrant came to light in Hays on Dec. 18 when a vehicle hit a Liberal police car that Buchanan and another officer were using to transport a prisoner. A check of Buchanan's driver's license turned up the outstanding warrant.
Liberal police say the warrant hadn't shown up in previous background checks. Buchanan doesn't have a listed phone number.

Ok and in good old Saline county a sheriff's Deputy gets arrested and he is still working now what is wrong with this deal? Maybe a call to the states attorney generals office would give some insight. Then again in a few days we will have our new commissioners and John Price can look into this.

You could call the sheriff but it was CHAD FLESHER a resource deputy at one of the schools which makes this worst as he is accused on physically abusing a 10 year old. To me its like putting a child molester in a daycare center what is the sheriff thinking?
