Dave Foor - Sun 09:35 AM 01/06/2013
A standoff with a man inside a Salina home ends with his arrest Sunday morning.
The incident happened at 325 South Oakdale.
Salina police say a woman was shot in the leg at about 5am at 325 South Oakdale Ave. Her wounds were said to be non-life threatening. She was treated by EMS at the scene and later taken to the hospital.
The Salina Police Special Response Team was called-in and officers were able to communicate with the suspect by phone as they tried to talk him out.
A man was in the basement of the home and unable to get out. He was rescued by police uninjured.
The suspect, said to be the husband of the woman shot, was brought out of the house at around 9:15 by police officers and arrested. There were no injuries reported other than the woman wounded.
Names were not immediately released.
More information is expected to be released at Monday’s police briefing.

Nice work to the SPD that it ended without a death or something worse than the one woman who was shot.

If it were a black guy or a m exican their faces and names would be all over the newspaper and on here. Can you smell discrimination because a white guy was involved.
