Arizona Accident Victim Taken Off Of Breathing Tube

PHOENIX (AP) - The father of a Kansas man injured in an alleged drunken crash in Arizona says his son is improving, but remains weak after his spine was separated from his skull.
Joel Tysver tells Fox 10 News in Phoenix that his 21 year old son, Michael, is no longer on a breathing tube and is alert and talking.
Tysver and a friend, 21 year old Cody Clark, both of Great Bend, were in Arizona for Thursday night's Fiesta Bowl in Glendale. They were riding in a pedicab early Friday when a driver suspected of being drunk crashed his car into the pedicab, ejecting Tysver and Clark.
Clark sustained a cervical spine fracture.
Scottsdale police said 27 year old Joseph Paul Spano of Phoenix was arrested on suspicion of multiple charges including drunken driving.

Ksal how about local news! Lately all the stories have been in other parts of the state or completely out of state. We can get that information on tv or the newspapers. You advertise local news how about doing what you advertise.

Sunday morning, we had the story first on the shooting and standoff in Salina. We do mix in state and regional stories that we think our listeners / readers will be interested in. Bu to say that there have been no local stories is simply not true.

I consider this very relative, considering I know family of one of the victims and like to keep up on how they are doing. If you don't find the story relevant, DON'T READ IT!!! I think that you are so lonely and bored with your own life that you have to go out and cause grief for everyone else. If you are so bothered with the fact that there is no local news on here, stop coming on here! And didn't I read on a previous comment that you don't even live in Salina anymore?

I to find it discussing that ksal wonders all over the place instead of their own back yard. Todd P. I sure did not see that many stories about salina nor did I the weekend prior. There is alot going on in Salina that affects all of us personally and coverage of those stories mean more to me. Maybe one guy in 50.000 knows this family the rest of us do not and letting the same people you toss off of here come back with new names is also getting old. my question to you is why did you pull the comment by ifyousayso off of here for attacking this other person? You have already barred him or her when they were using several other names. You do not have to be on here 24/7 to see what these people do. I was gone for a month on business got back and saw the name changes.

The title of this reports is "Arizona Accident Victim Taken Off Breathing Tube" Now, what part of the title makes a person think it is a local news story? Muchless, to take the time to complain about it? If you are not interested, why even open it? To these people who seem to have time on their hands to only complain, there are those of us who care what happens to others, and we keep them in our prayers, regardless if we know them or not. KSAL will continue to cover stories that concern people. Just pray that one of your family members will not be in a situation where people will post to complain or say bad things about them.

I checked the last 2 weekends just to see. this past weekend friday saturday and sunday you had a total of 3 news stories and 5 sports stories. the same 3 days a week prior plus that monday also you had 1 news story and o sports stories for 4 days. So what you are telling that person holds no water.

MyPostinID you sound familiar but this is supposed to be about local news here and the immediate surrounding area. If I want to know about some jerk in Pittsburg Kansas trying to stop a train I will either read it in the paper or watch tv and it will be reported. Myself and a bunch of others are more concerned on what's going on right here that affects all of us. I am not happy to read that the crime wave continues and is ignored by the police and sheriff. Nor am I happy that the school system is trying to keep a bond issue alive when it needs to be retired. Or our commissioners are spending 8 million on the bi-center or that they paid 350k for some scrape iron called art. These are just a few of things that affects me and my family. Remember you cannot keep everyone in the nation in your prayers as you would never have time for yourself. But if that is your thing then become a priest or a monk or if you are female a nun.

Looking back at the previous stories that were posted on between news stories and sports stories it looks like 60 to 70 percent of them have relevience to this area. I for one like to know what is going on in the state.
