Prisoner Caught After Escaping Custody

A prisoner is captured Friday afternoon afternoon escaping from custody.
According to the Saline County Sheriff's Office, on Thursday afternoon 21-year-old Michael D. Georag was arrested on 5 outstanding warrants, 3 municipal court and 2 district court. As he was being removed from the house he broke away from deputies and tried to escape. At the time he was in handcuffs and as he ran he lost his balance causing him to fall and slide into a power pole behind the house. He was checked by medics and taken to Salina Regional Hospital where he was admitted for observation because he was under the influence of multiple drugs. He was under arrest at the time so an armed guard was placed on him overnight at the hospital.
At approximately 12:45pm on Friday he was being released from the hospital to custody of the Sheriff’s Office. When the transport officers attempted to place him in the transport vehicle he broke free and escaped from the officers. A manhunt was immediately started and at approximately 2:15 he was apprehended hiding in the attic of 327 S. 5th.
Georage now faces charges that include the 5 warrants that were served on Thursday and Interference w/Law Enforcement Officer a felony from the Thursday incident and Aggravated Escape from Custody, a felony as a result of the escape from the officers at the hospital.
This incident has prompted the sheriff's office to look at the way officers handle certain kinds of prisoners and will result in changes.

Escaped twice inside of 24 hours ?............DUH !! Time to get rid of the old and decrepid and obese at the sheriff's office !!

Well everyone had a chance to get rid of the old sheriff but did not. My question is why was he not cuffed at the hospital? He could not run that fast with his arms behind him. I also agree with the obese deputies but they get that way from being on the 3rd floor of the city county building guarding the wimpy judges.

In defense of the sheriff, even if the officer was in prime shape how could he compete with someone that is doped up. Just ask the Tour de France cyclists :)

If you all think their job is so damn easy then get your ass out there and apply! You put your life on the line everyday knowing you have a family and my never see them again if some ediot shoots you. Its easy for you to sit behind the computer and dog a person that has a job that protects people. Yeah they may make mistakes but are you perfect???I THINK NOT!!! You all are so quick to hate on em when they mess up but where are the comments when they do a good??? Im sure all you haters that point out all the bad are in EXCELLENT SHAPE RIGHT? Wow talk about going from bad to worse. This rocket scientist needs to do some time and clean it up. Only 21 and his life is already on the rocks. I hope he can get in a program and turn it around.

A while back I was on here and this same individual was on here putting someone else down instead of commenting on the story. I come on here again and this t-bone character is doing it again. Does KSAL not have a policy that he is breaking to get rid of him?
