A Saline County Sheriff's Office investigation begins to unravel a chain of burglaries.
Sheriff Glen Kochanowski tells KSAL News that information obtained during interviews this week - has led to two additional arrests.
Deputies arrested 27-year old Zachary Vanbebber of Salina, on Monday for fleeing and eluding officers after driving a stolen vehicle.
Salina Police later charged Vanbebber with a burglary from over the weekend.
Sheriff Kochanowski says the investigation led to a search warrant being issued for a home at 316 1/2 N. Phillips.
Deputies arrested 26-year old Sierra Hern on charges of burglary and possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
The Sheriff Office says stolen items recovered from her home connect Hern to two recent burglaries on W. State Street.
Deputies also arrested 47-year old Brian Unruh of Salina on two counts of burglary.
Sheriff Kochanowski says the investigation is ongoing and more arrests are possible.

Does the sheriff work for the city? What about solving crimes in the county for what you are being paid and elected to do. If you want to be a city cop again resign and become one.

Hey iamgonnagetyou, why are you always so negative about everything good that happens around Salina? The crooks appear to be responsible for thefts in the city and county. I don't think it has anything to do with him wanting to be a city cop. Are you a washed up law man that couldn't cut it on a force somewhere after a year or two? You sure like to dog on law enforcement.

iAMGONNA state street runs out into the county so you are wrong about that. But I do agree with you that the old sheriff should never have run for office. But when a questionable person is on the ballet and does no campaigning this is what occurs.

Hammeri people can be whatever they wish to be. Law enforcement in Saline county altogether is the worst experience in this area in decades. Unsolved murders besides all the stealing going on and the chief and sheriff are only concerned with writing seat belt violations. I live out in the county and the past week counted 12 radar locations within 2 miles of the city limits. I cannot remember the last time I saw a sheriff's truck go by my place. When other sheriff's we had were in office it was common to see a patrol car go by and at the same time you very seldom heard about someone stealing something. As I see it those that complain about negative comments being made are those involved in stealing.
