Kansas Prayer Vigil Set For Immigration Reform

Sunflower Community Action says the "Keeping Families Together" campaign will be launched during a community prayer vigil at 7 p.m. Friday at Newman University in Wichita.
A Kansas nonprofit group is joining other grassroots organizations in a campaign for what it calls comprehensive immigration reform.
Sunflower Community Action says the "Keeping Families Together" campaign will be launched during a community prayer vigil at 7 p.m. Friday at Newman University in Wichita.
The group says it plans to call on U.S. Sen. Jerry Moran to support an overhaul of the system and work on a path to citizenship that allows families to stay together. It's also asking Gov. Sam Brownback to oppose policies it considers hostile to immigrants.

Send them back to m exico its time we start thinking of ourselves and our citizens. We have to many American citizens suffering because these illegals are using up all the programs that are set up to help our people. As far as I am concerned they should place a bounty on their heads. An groups helping them avoid prosecution for breaking our laws need to be arrested and sent to jail for harboring criminals.

The attorney general's office should be investigating Sunflower Community Action. Evidently this group is in favor of breaking the law when it comes to illegals that are here. There may even be some in this organization that need to be deported.

The U.S. is a melting pot and we are all immigrants. The real Americans are the Native Indians.

Last time I looked immigration didn't seem to do much for Native Americans. When they rebelled,it got worse. They were called savages. Allowing and forgiving illegal immigration doesn't right the wrong. It simply lowers the standard of living for working people.

I do not understand why you people have to be so hateful so racist (Iamgonnagetyou). "Put a bounty on their heads" How would you like it if the tables were turned and they did that to you?

IamUSCitizen its not being a racist when people break the law. They are just robbing this country blind with their invasion. Darn right put a bounty on their heads we do not want them sucking us dry, Look what they already done to California and its spreading Eastward. If the tables were turned I would know I was breaking the law just as these people do and I would not be here doing so I would be in my country. If you refuse to do anything about it that is fine but don't call yourself a US citizen.

IamUSCitizen. I don't support inhumane treatment of any immigrant. The illegal problem in the US allows many illegals to be abused and exploited. Also there are those that game the system, and that is putting a burden on the legal citizens. Mexico has very stringent immigration laws. “A penalty of up to two years in prison and a fine of three hundred to five thousand pesos will be imposed on the foreigner who enters the country illegally.” "Foreigners who are deported from Mexico and attempt to re-enter the country without authorization can be imprisoned for up to 10 years." Who gets in? "Foreigners are admitted into Mexico 'according to their possibilities of contributing to national progress.'” Mexico deports more illegals than the US. I don't think it is racial. Their laws support good for their country. Maybe the US should model our own immigration policy after theirs.

Free speech is one thing but a group supporting law breakers should be dealth with. Now I am reading that because 70% of the hispanics voted for the President he wants to give all of them a free ride into our country. If he tries to pull this he needs to be impeached.
