Over $2K in Tires Taken Off Trailers

Police are investigating after several trailer tires are stolen.
According to Lt. Scott Siemsen, someone removed eight tires off of three different trailers sometime between Friday afternoon at 4:30pm and Saturday night at 9pm, while they were parked in a lot in the 500 block of Westport Blvd.
The trailers are owned by Sunoco Products of Kansas City, Ryder Transportation of Salina and TSI of Clay Center.
Total loss is listed at $2,400.

Somebody should have saw something as busy as it is out there. Then again why were the police not on patrol in that area?

Wow someone stole tires from a TSI trailer? Most TSI trailers I have seen have junk tires. Iamgonnagetyou I agree where was the patrol? You need a 1" impact to get them tires off. That would make a lot of noise! Maybe it was an inside job.
