"Sweet Kisses" is the 2012 People's Choice winner in the Salina Sculpture Tour. The sculpture by Marianne Caroselli depicts a little girl trying to pick up a puppy, while another one is kissing her.
The public has given a smooch of approval to "Sweet Kisses".
"Sweet Kisses" is the 2012 People's Choice winner in the Sculpture Tour Salina. The sculpture by Marianne Caroselli depicts a little girl trying to pick up a puppy, while another one is kissing her.
The 2012 Sculpture Tour Salina was unveiled on May 19th. For the second year in a row, sculptures were placed on display throughout the downtown area. The 2012 tour boasted 25 sculptures, six more than the 2011 tour.
The sculpture tour program is a partnership between the city, and private donors.
As part of the program, the City of Salina will now purchase "Sweet Kisses".
The only cost to the city is the purchase of one sculpture. The city has agreed to pay up to $15,000 each year for the People's Choice winner. "Sweet Kisses" is valued at $7,500.
"Sweet Kisses" will be placed on permanent display in the sculpture garden at Oakdale Park, near the butterfly garden in the park. Last year's People's Choice winner "Watch Dog", is also in the sculpture garden.
Only a dozen votes separated the top three sculptures.
The 2013 sculpture tour debuts this May, and will run through April of 2014.

There are plenty of morons who would sculpt those kind of things. You said that anything to do with puppies win your vote and I asked if you would vote those kind of sculptures. Just pointing out your logic flaws and just being a smart ass.
