Accidental Shooting at Super Bowl Party
Associated Press - Tue 07:52 AM 02/05/2013
A man is jailed on involuntary manslaughter charges after he allegedly shot a friend to death during a Super Bowl party.
The Platte County prosecutor's office charged 34-year-old Joshua W. Bailey on Monday in the death of 22-year-old Joshua Anderson of the Kansas City area community of Riverside.
Investigators say Bailey was drinking and smoking marijuana at the Super Bowl party at his home Sunday when he took out a handgun to show his guests. He reportedly thought the gun was empty when he fired it, hitting Anderson in the head.
Police believe the shooting was accidental. Bailey is a convicted felon who is not allowed to possess a firearm.
Bailey is being held on $500,000 bond. Online court records do not indicate that he has an attorney.

So very sad. Perhaps the NRA will help pay for funeral expenses and a lawyer.

THE NRA is against background checks. Yes, I know, he could have gotten it from someone else. We need tougher laws on gun owners, make them equally responsible. The only problem is the NRA would be against it. The only difference between a reason and an excuse is who is saying it. The NRA has plenty of reasons to not help pass laws to punish the idiots.

Once again have all the laws you want but felons will get guns. Look at the guy who got an easy assault rifle from the dummy in New Cambria he has had enought time to wipe out a bunch of people and he did not even need a background check or spend a dime for the gun.
