Police in a northeast Kansas county are putting extra officers at schools and bus stops after the third report of an attempted child abduction.

The latest happened Tuesday in the Johnson County town of Overland Park. A 14-year-old girl said a man ordered a girl into his white pickup truck but drove off when the girl ran toward her bus stop.

On Jan. 25, a Shawnee girl told police three men in a gold sedan tried to abduct her on her way to school. The girl said she was chased as she ran away.

And a Shawnee boy reported Feb. 1 that a man got out of an SUV and tried to grab him.

Authorities say they don't believe the three cases are related.

BS! These cases ARE related....same area...same age of potential victim, all within a short time window....unless these kids are lying..and then why would they investigate futher...These cases are examples of how syndicates operate....they switch perpetrators and vehicles to elude investigators..the intent is to steal kids and use them for sex trafficing and porn...This is the most reports in a short time frame from KS....
