Ksal once again its Friday and 12 out of 15 stories have nothing to do with local news including this story. The big stories such as the Solomon school and the catching of the 2 crooks by police here in Salina get banished. Local news are these tpye of stories and we would like to know more. Are these 2 guys responsible for 30 burguries? This story affects all of us locally.

Since I don't live in Salina, but most certainly shop there quite frequently, I appreciate news of the region not just the city of Salina. If KSAL News only reported news for the city of Salina, I wouldn't be reading this website or listening to their radio station. KSAL's radio signal goes much farther than the city of Salina so they do have many other people who listen to KSAL outside the city limits, as well as read their website.

We have listeners / readers from a wide area. That's why we post a mix of local, regional, and state stories. We had the Solomon story on Wednesday. We had the burglary story yesterday, and will have an update later this morning when more information is released.

I, personally, am glad they post things from around Kansas. I have friends/family scattered all over, and like to know what is happening in their area as well. You are the same type of people who complain when Wichita News channels only broadcast about Wichita and forget about the rest of the state. Same concept. I was glad to see this article, because I went to high school with this kid. I saw the article before I got the phone call, so I started calling other classmates about the sad news as well. Just because you don't want to see "unlocal" news, doesn't mean there aren't others of us that do!

Did I miss something? When did KSAL, Y93.7, Classic HIts 104.9 or KSALLink.com ever claim to be a Salina Kansas ONLY media outlet.
