Police Confident 2 Arrested are Tied to Spree

The search of a storage unit, links two Salina men to multiple business burglaries.
According to Lt. Scott Siemsen, officers used a search warrant to open a storage unit in north Salina on Thursday as an investigation widens from a pair of arrests made Wednesday night.
Lt. Siemsen tells KSAL News, "We do feel pretty confident that the people we have arrested are responsible for a majority, if not all the business burglaries we've been having since September of 2012."
Police arrested 31-year-old Michael Cox of 607 West Crawford and 33-year-old Stephen Rowson of 825 Scott on Wednesday after an officer on patrol noticed a suspicious vehicle parked behind Huseman Veterinary Clinic, 119 Indiana.
The officer called for back-up, they entered the building and two men were arrested.
Police say they found numerous items in the storage locker including an electric guitar, pistol and flat screen television that are linked to other burglaries.
Lt. Siemsen tells KSAL News the investigation covers over 30 burglaries across multiple businesses in Salina.

Shows the value of the patrols they do (which are more often than the average person thinks).

Logical the present name you are using you sure jcjange your tune. While many of us were wanting more patrolling you took the stance that doing so would not result in catching anyone. Now that it has and proves our point that the cops time should be spent doing patrolling rather than writing seatbelt violations all over town. Now we all see that doing what they are supposed to helps solve crimes.

If it was not for iamgonna, the cleaner and a bunch of others getting down on the cops especially their leader who refuses to come out and talk to us taxpayers who pay him for a service that he is not doing then so be it we will continue to monitor and speak out. After all this is America.

KUDOS to the officers that were on the job that night and not just worrying about little traffic tickets. They were obviously in the right place at the right time, for which I for one am thankful. Now, lets all pray they are incarcerated for a long enough period of time. After the crime spree in our community, and what they put the citizens through, they DO NOT deserve to be on the streets!! God help us all if they get probation out of this, they will be worse because now they are unemployed thieves!!!

Time to fire the current chief of police and promote the officer who caught these guys to chief.
