A teen who caused over $5,700 in damages inside the Juvenile Center last week - is now facing additional charges for attacking a corrections officer.
Saline County Sheriff Glen Kochanowski tells KSAL News that 14-year-old Micah Lorenzano is now facing a felony charge of battery against a corrections officer after he became violent on Sunday evening.
Lorenzano allegedly became combative with two other teens during a break outside in the recreation area.
A corrections officer stepped in and was hit by Lorenzano.
Salina Police officers were called to help control the youth who gave up when a taser was aimed at him.
Last week the boy damaged a washer/dryer set, plus several computers and a TV.
