Salina Man Charged With Theft

KSAL News Staff - Mon 12:15 PM 02/25/2013

A Salina man is arrested for using a stolen credit card.

Salina Police were contacted by Dennis Espinosa on Friday after he received a statement from his credit card company that spelled out a number of charges he was not responsible for.

Espinosa told officers he may have lost the card after last using it for his business on January 25th.

An investigation revealed that 27-year-old Michael J. Turner, 809 Custer, allegedly used the card to make 45 purchases at area stores totalling $3,600.

Police arrested Turner Sunday afternoon on theft charges.

This was an easy one to solve. But once again the victim left his card somewhere and it caused this crime to happen.

Losing the credit card did not cause the crime. Most people finding a lost card would turn it in.Not use it like this worthless POS.
