Geologists Examining Sinkhole West of Galena

State geologists are studying a sinkhole near a highway in southeast Kansas.
The hole is south of Kansas 66 at the western edge of Galena. Officials say the hole, which was found Sunday, is off the shoulder of the highway. Geologists were drilling Monday under the eastbound lanes of the highway, closing one lane to traffic.
Kansas Department of Transportation spokeswoman Priscilla Peterson, says the geologists are trying to determine if there is a void under the highway, and how large it might be.
The Joplin Globe reports sinkholes are not uncommon in the area because of abandoned mine shafts throughout the region.

As all the world countries continue firing nuclar underground bombs the earth is being to deterierate. One they there will be no structure in the center of the earth if this keeps up.

No it isn't. If you can read what t--bone wrote clearly, both of you should try going back to first grade and start putting whole sentences together with correct words. But from what I could gather, he is saying that sink holes are forming from underground detonation of nuclear devices causing the earth to deteriorate. Or one could look up the actual origination of a sink hole and see that it is a hole formed in soluble rock by the action of water. But whatever he wants to believe in bizarro world is fine by me.
