A crash in rural Ottawa County sends two people from Bennington to the hospital in Salina.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a Toyota Camry was headed South on 170th Road in Ottawa County. A Jeep Wrangler pulled out of a private drive, failed to yield, and was hit by the car.

The car rolled and came to rest in the east ditch on its top. The SUV came to rest in the road. It was moved to a private drive before troopers arrived.

Troopers say that two people in the car, the driver and a passenger, were hurt. Both 19-year-old Lisa Brock and 46-year-old Sallie Gutzman were transported by EMS to Salina Regional Health Center. A 1-year-old boy in the car was not hurt. The driver of the SUV also was not hurt.

Everyone involved in the crash was buckled up.

The crash happened just after 2:30 Saturday afternoon about 6 miles north of Salina in Ottawa County.
