Severe weather rolled through Central Kansas Thursday night, and had members of the Salina Media Group Severe Weather Team out in the field.

Storms prompted strong wind, heavy rain, and hail.

Hail up to two inches in diameter, and wind up to 60-miles-per-hour was reported in portions of Ellsworth, Lincoln, and Rice Counties.

In Ellsworth County, hail completely covered the ground in some areas. In Rice County there were reports of broken windows.

Forecasters from the National Weather Service in Wichita call for a dry weekend, with highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s.
