A Wednesday afternoon crash in Clay Center sends five people to the hospital.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a pickup truck made a left-hand turn in front of a car and was hit.

The driver of the pickup truck, 81-year-old Duane Reilly of Abilene was hurt and was transported to the hospital in Clay Center. Four people in the car were also transported to the same hospital. They are 26-year-old Brian Jesse, 26-year-old April Jesse, and two 4-year-old children, all from Leonardville.

Troopers say that everyone was buckled up.

The crash happened at around 3:45 Wednesday afternoon in Clay Center.
