Troopers say the car hydroplaned and crashed into a tree.

A Salina man is hurt in a single-car crash on Interstate 70 near Chapman.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 37-year-old Javier Jaime-Felix was driving a car east on I 70 when he hydroplaned in the rain. The car entered the ditch and struck a tree.

Jaime-Felix, who was buckled up, was hurt. He was transported to the hospital in Junction City.

The crash happened at around 8:45 Monday morning on Interstate 70 in Dickinson County, about a half mile west of the Chapman interchange.
