Riley County officials say a hunter discovered the burial site near the 63-hundred block of south 32nd Street.

Riley County authorities say the bodies of a woman and a small child were discovered in a shallow grave over the weekend near Fort Riley.

Officials say a hunter discovered the burial site near the 63-hundred block of south 32nd Street. The remains of an adult woman and young male child were buried in the same shallow grave.

The victims haven't been identified. An autopsy is planned as the investigation continues.
