Blue Beacon, owners and operators of the Green Lantern convenience stores and car washes in Salina announced that on December 9th, Casey's Retail Company of Ankeny, Iowa will purchase Green Lantern's three Salina convenience stores including the fuel islands and attached car washes. At that time the Green Lantern name will be removed and the facilities will begin to operate as Casey's General Stores.

The car washes attached to the convenience stores at Iron and Ohio, 9th and Crawford and 9th and Magnolia are part of the sale. However, the two stand alone car washes at State and Broadway and on Planet Avenue are not included in the sale to Casey's.

Casey's has agreed to accept pre-paid Green Lantern gift certificates, car wash tickets and fundraiser coupons for one year. Your Green Lantern gift certificates can also be redeemed at Petro:2 on North 9th Street. Casey's will not redeem the Green Lantern self-service car wash tokens.
