Two people from California are hurt in a crash along Interstate 70 in Dickinson County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 45-year-old Kevin Healis was driving a semi west when he choked on an item of food. The truck and trailer went into the north ditch and overturned.

Healis and a passenger, 54-year-old Rose Lunceford, were both hurt. Each was transported to the hospital in Abilene.

Troopers say both were buckled up.

The crash happened just before 1:00 Saturday afternoon.
