Area Schools to Participate in Youth For Music Event

The students will perform a concert for the public at the Brown Grand Theatre.

Over 20 area schools, featuring over 300 students, will take part in the Youth for Music event in Concordia.

The students will rehearse and perform at the 40thth annual event co-sponsored by Cloud County Community College and Tom's Music House in Concordia.

The students will rehearse Saturday, January 30th, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Youth for Music Band will rehearse at the Brown Grand Theatre, Concordia. The Youth for Music Choir will rehearse in Cook Theatre (grades 11-12) and the Music Room (grades 9-10), both at Cloud County Community College's Concordia campus.

The public is also invited to attend the rehearsals at no charge.

Students participating are from the following high schools: Beloit, Bennington, Cheney, Clifton-Clyde, Concordia, Ell-Saline, Fairbury, Neb, Frankfort, Hoisington, Logan, Lucas-Luray, Minneapolis, Phillipsburg, Pike Valley, Plainville, Pretty Prairie, Quivira Heights Republic County, Rock Hills, Southern Cloud, Washington County and Wilson.

A concert for the public will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, January 31st, at the Brown Grand Theatre. Concert tickets are $5 and will be available at the door.
