KSAL News Director Todd Pittenger interviews actress Joyce DeWitt on Friday.

In the late 1970s and early 1980s she was one of America's favorite roommates. This weekend you can "come and knock on her door" in Salina. Actress Joyce DeWitt, who played Janet Wood in "Three's Company" is in Salina as part of the 29th Annual Leadsled Spectacular car show.

DeWitt, who now lives in New Mexico, tells KSAL News that she's excited about being in Salina and meeting fans of the show. This is the first car she has ever been a part of, or been to.

She says that she was blessed to have worked with comic greats John Ritter and Don Knotts both at the same time, during her days as Janet on "Three's Company."

She says it was a crazy time during the show, which taped two episodes in front of two different live audiences on Friday nights.

After all the craziness both on and off screen of "Three's Company", DeWitt took about 15 years off from the industry, and moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico. Today she's involved in theatre, and says that she's looking at a return to Hollywood in 2010.

DeWitt says that even to this day people still call her Janet, and she's okay with that.

DeWitt is part of the 29th Annual Leadsled Spectacular car show. The show features hundreds of classic cars, custom cars, and hot rods from all over the country. Some of the biggest names in the industry are here, including George Barris, creator of vehicles including the Batmobile, the Dukes of Hazzard General Lee, and both the Beverly Hillbilly and Munster cars.

The Leadsled Spectacular will be held at Thomas Park on North 9th Street this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday beginning at 9:00 each day.
