Gordon T. Kasparson, 79, Salina, died Thursday, July 5, 2012 at his home. He was born November 18, 1932 in Victoria, Illinois to Mauritz A. and Mary Elizabeth (Gordon) Kasparson.
In 1950, he graduated from Trenton High School in Trenton, Missouri. He graduated from the University of Missouri and served in the U.S. Navy. On September 13, 1959 he married Joyce Ann Hillery at Warsaw, Missouri. For many years, he operated the Greater Kansas Wholesale Florist in Abilene, Kansas.
He was a University of Missouri alumnus, member of the Kiwanis clubs in both Salina and Abilene, was a master gardener in Salina, and was a co-owner of the Kansas Cagerz semi-professional basketball team. He enjoyed traveling and dining out with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, a brother Richard Kasparson and an infant sister Ruth.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, July 8, 2012 at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. 8th, Salina, Kansas.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, July 9, 2012 at the mortuary.
Burial will follow in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.
Following the services, there will be a reception at Residence 600, 600 E. Elm, Salina.
The family suggests memorials to the charity of the donors choice.
