Homer (Pop) Bare, 75, of White City, died Sunday, July 8th, 2012, at the Morris County Hospital, Council Grove. He was born December 14, 1936, at West Jefferson, North Carolina, the son of Charley Baxter & Margie Hester Bare.
A Committal Service will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday, July 12th, 2012, at the White City Cemetery; with Rodney Pretzer officiating.
Serving as Pallbearers: Terry Thompson, Clayton Kidd, Randy & Ryan Dowell, Justin & Kevin Allenbaugh; and Honorary Bearer A.J. Price.
The family will receive friends Thursday, prior to the service, from 9am until 10am at the Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home & Crematory, Herington Chapel.
Mr. Bare worked for thirty (30) years Maryland Porta Space Construction prior to his retirement and moving to the White City/Parkerville Area in 1998.
He married Mary Marie Darnel on July 25, 1957, at Wilkesboro, North Carolina; she survives of the home.

Son Clinton Bare (wife-Lucille) of Joppa, Maryland Daughters: Peggy Thompson (husband-Terry) of White City
Alice Dowell (husband-Randy) of White City
Sister: Polly Pack of Whitville, VA
11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren
Preceded in death by his daughter Bonnie Bush (05/20/1999), a brother (Charles Bare), three (3) sisters (Darcy Gullion, Evelyn Camel, and an infant sister Liza Bare), and his parents.
