Arnold (Jack) McLaughlin passed away on Friday, July 20, 2012 at the Salina Regional Health Center in Salina, Ks. He was born in Lawrence County, Ohio son of Ralph M. and Sarah Wiley Stoneberger, birth parents. When he was about 6 years old he was adopted by Harry and Adie McLaughlin of North Kenova, Ohio.

Survivors Include:
Brothers: Robert Stoneberger Sr. of Abilene, Ks
Herbie Christian of Ironton, Ohio
Sister: Doris Jean Brumfield of Proctorville, Ohio
Two step daughters: Rebecca Cornelius of Anchorage, Alaska Dinah Cowen of Jonesboro, Louisiana
Step son: Thomas Cowen of Jonesboro, Louisiana
Several nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his wife Lorrain McLaughlin, his birth parents; Ralph M. and Sarah Wiley Stoneberger and his adopted parents; Harry and Adie McLaughlin, his brothers; Ralph Jr. Stoneberger and Curbie Stoneberger, his sisters; Pauline Danford, Mae Drummond, and Maxine Province.

He worked for Walker Gravel when he first came to Kansas. He was retired from Ershams Foundry of Enterprise, Kansas until it closed. He also worked as a security guard for Alco Warehouse until shortly before he passed.

His favorite pastime was playing the guitar and he could play better than most. He loved Chet Atkins and strived to play as good as him and he did.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at the Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home in Abilene.

A Private internment will be at a later date. There will be no visitation.
