E. Louise Neubauer, a lifelong resident of the Chapman community, passed away at Chapman Valley Manor in Chapman, KS on Sunday, July 22, 2012 at the age of 83. Louise was born November 5, 1928 at rural Chapman, KS. Her parents were Ernest and E. Teed Foley Foerschler.

She attended a country grade school, and graduated from Chapman High School with the Class of 1946.

She attended Emporia State University at Emporia KS for one year, and obtained a Teaching Certificate. She taught at Carry Creek Grade School in the Lyona Community, Pleasant Hill Grade School near Enterprise, KS, Pearl Grade School in Pearl Community, and Detroit Grade School in Detroit, KS for a total of eleven years.

She was married to Rudolph John Neubauer on June 2, 1956 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Chapman, KS. They farmed, raised cattle, and chickens for over 50 years until they retired and moved into Chapman in 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband Rudy on October 8, 2011.

She has been a resident at Chapman Valley Manor since July 9, 2012. She was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church and the Altar Society; she drove a bus for the Chapman School District for 21 years; she served on the Rinehart Election board for more than 50 years; she had been a 4-H food leader, a member of the Rinehart Pleasant Hour Club; the Dickinson County Rural Life Association, and had volunteered at the Chapman Senior Center. Louise was known for her gifts of homemade bread, and selling her farm fresh eggs.

Brother: Bill Foershler of Chapman, KS
Three grandchildren
Two great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her husband Rudy, and two sons; Edwin in 1963 and Joe in 1993.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Chapman, KS on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at 10:00 am. Father Henry Baxa will officiate.

Burial will be at St. Patricks Cemetery at Rural Chapman, KS.

The Rosary and Scripture Vigil will be held at St. Michaels Parish Center, east of the Catholic Church, Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at 6:00 pm, followed by visitation with the family.

The Londeed Funeral Chapel in Chapman will be open for visitation Wednesday afternoon beginning at 1:00 pm till 4:00 pm.
