Arvis Ora Steimel passed to her eternal rest on July 29th, 2012. Arvis was born to Joe Niemeier and Ora Hull, Aug. 11, 1921, on a farm near Hope, KS.

There will be visitation at the Carlson Becker Funeral Home in Hope Kansas from 5pm-6pm on Thursday August 2nd.

Funeral services will be held starting 10am at the United Methodist Church in Hope Kansas on Friday August 3rd.

She was baptized on June 25th, 1933 at the First Baptist Church of Dickinson County.

She married Eugene H Steimel on Feb 10th, 1945 her husband and her two children Joe Steimel and Kiffi Musfelt proceed her along with 4 nieces and her siblings Gladys Klingsieck and Lauren L Neimeier.

She graduated from Hope High School, earned her teaching certificate at Emporia State University, and her bachelors degree in the Arts from Pikes Peak Community College and University of Colorado Boulder.

Her work included teaching in Dickinson County, Field Executive for Girl Scouts USA, and 9 years as Librarian in Hope, KS. She was active in many community organizations including DAR, DCG, DAC, Order of the Eastern Star, and Native Daughters of Kansas.

Survivors Include:
Son-in-Law: Ron Musfelt and his wife Sheryl
Daughter-in-Law: Anne Owens
Grandson: Adam Musfelt, his wife Amanda
Great grandchildren: Anna, April, and Aubrey Musfelt
Grandson: Eugene Musfelt
Grandson: Tristan Musfelt, his wife Samantha
Great grandchildren: Damien and Vada

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hope Library, the Hope Museum, or the United Methodist Church and may be sent in care of Carlson-Becker Funeral Home.
