Janeen A. Long, 59, of Salina, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2012. She was born, September 22, 1952, in Washington, Kansas, the daughter of Melvin (Bud) Long and Dorine (Meyer) Long. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Trinity LWML, Trinity Lutheran Church Choir and served on the Board of Education for the church. Janeen enjoyed crocheting, reading and meeting new people. She is preceded in death by her father, Melvin (Bud) Long. Janeen is survived by her mother, Dorine and step-father, Merle Martin Sisters: Barb Long Shelly Martin and partner Ruth Brouddus brother, Richard Martin niece, Addie Fields and husband Brad great nieces and nephew, Blake, Morgan and Kamdyn. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Sunday, August 5, 2012, with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m., at Ryan Mortuary. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 6, 2012, at Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial to follow the service in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society or Trinity Lutheran Church and left in care of the Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth St., Salina, KS, 67401.
