Paul Marfise, 91, Salina, died Sept 28, 2012. He was born January 25, 1921, the son of Antonio and Angelina Marfise in Fairview, PA.
Paul was inducted into the US Army on July 16, 1942. He served under Gen. George S. Pattons 3rd Army, 4th Armored Unit in Europe. He went into the Normandy Beach Invasion in France and served in Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Africa and Italy. He received the American Theater Services Medal, EAME Theater Service Medal, Victory Medal and 4 Bronze Stars. In Salina, he belonged to the V.F.W. and D.A.V.
Paul worked as a long haul truck driver, Greyhound Driver, and as a machine operator for Federal Mogul and Metalcast of Salina.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Adeline, a son, Paul Eugene Marfise and a brother, Dominic.

Funeral services will be at the graveside at 11:00 am Thursday morning, Oct. 4, 2012 in the Franklin Cemetery, Tescott, Ks.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, Oct. 3, at the Ryan Mortuary from noon until 8:00 pm where the family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
